The Afghanistan Red Crescent said that more than 600 children who are struggling with heart problems have been treated over the past five months in Kabul.
According to the officials of the organization, the children were treated in six hospitals.
Nearly 11,000 children are affected by holes in the heart, according to the Afghanistan Red Crescent.
This comes as the doctors said that they have conducted surgery on 30 children referred to them by the Afghanistan Red Crescent.
The families of the children who have been treated said that they were not able to treat their children due to economic challenges.
According to the statistics of the Afghanistan Red Crescent, nearly 13,000 children have been treated.
