Poppy crop on 50 acres of land has been eradicated in the Sayyad district of northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Saturday.
Police Spokesperson Din Mohammad Nazari said: “Fifty acres of poppy crop in the Ajreem, Jarqadoq and Qarakhwal villages of Sayyad district has been eradicated.”
This comes that last year counter-narcotics officials and police eradicated poppy and hemp crops on 320 acres of land in Sar-i-Pul province.
