At the outset, Mawlawi Naeemulhaq Haqqani, the director of Government Media and Information Center (GMIC) shed lights on the ongoing activities, the role of media and the use of GMIC as a communication vehicle for disseminating government messages.
He also stressed on easing access to information, bringing government and media closer and highlighting government’s initiatives.
During the meeting, Qari Abdul Satar Sayeed, the deputy director general of public and strategic affairs emphasized on the role of media in running public outreach campaigns and raising awareness of the public regarding government’s initiatives. He also pledged to extend every possible support to enhance the planned and ongoing activities of GMIC.
