Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Hanif Hamza, and his accompanying delegation during a two-day visit to Turkmenistan met with Minister of Energy Annagaldi Sprouf, Executive Chairman of Turkmen Energo Dordi Ilyasov, and officials from the Construction Department of Turkmen Energo. As part of this visit, an energy supply agreement for the year 2024 was signed.
Under this agreement, up to 1.8 billion kilowatt hours of energy will be provided through four routes: Andkhoi, Aqina, Badghis, and Turghondai-Herat lines. Additionally, Turkmen Energo was assured that the 500 KV power transmission line from Sheberghan to Arghandai would be completed. This line was recently inaugurated and will allow for the purchase of more electricity from Turkmenistan.
On the other hand, the meeting also discussed Noorul Jihad substation project in Herat province. The contract for this project was signed between Breshna and Turkmen Energo companies. Turkmen Energo was requested to complete the works on this substation as soon as possible.
Furthermore, Haji Hamzah Sahib expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for their comprehensive cooperation and requested continued support from them during these challenging times. At the end of meeting, Turkmen side expressed their gratitude to Haji Hamza Sahib and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat for their excellent management and leadership and added that they have received all the money on time since the rule of the Islamic Emirate.
