The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that $150 million in exports have been made abroad through air corridors in the past year.
Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, the spokesman of the ministry, said that they are trying to increase the amount of exports through air corridors.
According to the official, in the past year, trade worth $290 million dollars has been made from air corridors to other countries.
The spokesman said: “We are currently trying to connect with other countries through air corridors. We are currently connected with India, China, and the United Arab Emirates through air corridors.”
The Chamber of Commerce and Investment said that the resumption of flights by international companies plays an important role in increasing exports through air corridors, and most of Afghanistan’s pine nuts, fresh fruit and dried fruit are exported through air corridors. According to the information of the ministry, the value of Afghanistan’s export goods in 2023 reached nearly $2 billion
