Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi has said Turkmen authorities have promised to supply more electricity and gas to Afghanistan.
Addressing Faryab officials, Muttaqi said an agreement has been reached to connect the Andkhoy-Aqina route with Turkmenbashi seaport, which will connect Afghanistan to Russia and Kazakhstan.
He also mentioned that the authorities of Turkmenistan have promised to supply more electricity and gas to Afghanistan. According to him, after the establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, no security incidents have occurred on the border with Turkmenistan. Muttaqi also added that in the next six months, large projects will begin in the country.
