The deputy minister of refugees and repatriation, Abdul Rahman Rashid, said that there are more than 380,000 internally displaced people in the country.
Rashid said that the highest numbers of displaced people are from the provinces of Herat, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Takhar, and Balkh.
Abdul Rahman Rashid added: “The Islamic Emirate has decided to voluntarily repatriate them to their original provinces, and their needs and problems will be addressed. We intend to provide them with accommodation.”
According to the information from the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, during the past year, more than 7,000 families have been relocated to their original provinces.
