Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of Afghanistan, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, said that during the past two weeks, he has approved eight projects worth 750 million Afghanis proposed by Kabul Municipality.

Addressing a ceremony on signing the Amu Darya oil extraction agreement with a Chinese company, Baradar said Kabul’s landscape has changed since the Islamic Emirate came to power.

Baradar said the country’s economy will gradually improve as major national projects are put into action.

Kabul residents said that the reconstruction of roads and linking areas is a good move to reduce traffic.

Kabul Municipality said it is implementing 40 projects for road construction and repair, intersection upgrades, booth creation, and other public services in various parts of the capital city.
