Greetings and peace be upon the Muslim and devout people of Afghanistan, the officials of the Islamic Emirate, the participants of this gathering, and especially all the immigrant citizens.
Esteemed attendees,
First and foremost, I express gratitude to Allah Almighty for selecting us to tread the righteous path of establishing the Islamic system and safeguarding the religious and national foundations in Afghanistan. May Allah grant us and you greater success, enabling us to discharge our responsibilities with excellence.
As you are well aware, our country has experienced two unlawful invasions in the past four decades. In the face of these invasions, the Afghan nation exhibited tremendous bravery and sincerity, fighting valiantly to defend their religion, beliefs, independence, national sovereignty, and values. Our people embarked on the path of jihad and struggle.
Throughout this arduous journey, millions of our fellow countrymen sacrificed their lives, endured injuries, disabilities, and displacement. However, thanks be to Allah, today we have successfully expelled the invaders from our land, and Afghanistan now rests under the control of its own people. The entire territory is governed by an independent Islamic system under the leadership of our respected leader, may Allah bless him.
Dear brothers and sisters who have migrated,
Just as the path of Jihad and Hijrah entails suffering and hardship, its virtue holds great significance and carries abundant rewards in the sight of Allah. Our migrant brothers and sisters, whether they have returned to the country or are currently residing abroad, truly deserve immense honor and appreciation. In recent months, we have promptly addressed the concerns of returning refugees and provided assistance to our refugee brethren in matters of shelter, sustenance, healthcare, transportation, and other essential areas.
Indeed, the entire system is dedicated to serving our returning migrant citizens, demonstrating the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to resolving the challenges faced by its people, particularly the migrants, as a religious and national duty.
Furthermore, I extend my wishes to all citizens, especially the capitalists and affluent individuals, who have generously embraced their migrant brothers and sisters, to continue offering assistance and cooperation in whatever capacity they can provide. Let us facilitate their integration, support them with housing, and attend to their various needs.
Dear attendees,
We express gratitude to the countries that have hosted our migrant citizens for years. Our people hold their kindness in high regard and deeply appreciate their hospitality.
However, we earnestly hope that the matter of refugees, which is a significant humanitarian issue, is not viewed through a purely political lens or for immediate gains and decisions. It should not be exploited as a means of exerting pressure. The process of return ought to be conducted with dignity and in a gradual manner, so as to prevent the occurrence of human tragedy, as well as foster long-term goodwill and trust between nations.
On the occasion of International Refugee Day, we appeal to all parties, countries worldwide, and relevant United Nations organizations not to overlook the plight of refugees in Afghanistan. It is imperative that this issue is given the attention and support it deserves.
In light of human compassion and empathy, it is suggested that the concerned party addresses the challenges faced by Afghan refugees both within Afghanistan and abroad. Efforts should be made to prevent their forced deportation and take effective and practical measures to safeguard them from arrest, imprisonment, confiscation of belongings, or any other obstacles. Additionally, it is essential to fulfill obligations regarding providing immediate assistance to current refugees, facilitating their transportation, arranging accommodations, creating employment opportunities, and ensuring a quality life within the country.
Lastly, I express gratitude to all countries, organizations, charities, and individuals who have provided assistance to refugees during these trying circumstances and continue to do so. It is important to acknowledge that the Islamic Emirate stands alongside them as a responsible governing system and will exert its utmost efforts to support them. May peace prevail.
