The Political Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, held a meeting with a delegation of doctors from the Al-Basar Charity Foundation International of Al-Ibrahim Hospital in Karachi.
During the discussion, the delegation shared information about the activities of the Al-Basar Charity Foundation, explaining that the foundation sends doctors to poor countries around the world to assist in the healthcare sector. They emphasized that the delegation will stay in Afghanistan for 11 days and under the supervision of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, will examine 1,000 to 1,200 patients daily in Kabul. In the field of eye, they plan to conduct 800 to 1,200 operations with free of charge.
The delegation noted that they had previously undertaken similar activities in Herat and Mazar-e Sharif provinces, conducting such missions four times. Additionally, they promised to establish a standard eye hospital in Afghanistan and create a complex in several provinces, providing professional training to Afghan doctors at this hospital.
Expressing gratitude, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir stated that their efforts to provide free treatment to impoverished Afghan patients send a message to global organizations that every institution can serve the Afghan people.
