The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir held a meeting with China’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan Mr. Yue Xiaoyong, the Chinese Ambassador to Kabul Mr. Zhao Xing and their accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, China’s Special Envoy highlighted his visit to Pakistan, stating that his country is making efforts to strengthen its economy, expand ties and enhance cooperation with Afghanistan. He further expressed China’s support for Afghanistan’s position in international forums and its readiness to expand and continue relations with Afghanistan.
Emphasizing the importance of developing ties and establishing understanding among Afghanistan, Pakistan and China, the Special Envoy noted that significant progress has been made in Afghanistan over the past three years. He also underscored China’s respect for Afghanistan’s territorial integrity, cultural values and sovereignty, and its interest in contributing to economic growth through expanded investment in Afghanistan.
Expressing his welcome, the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, stated that Afghanistan has a good relationship with China, and economic and commercial cooperation continues to grow. He further affirmed that the Islamic Emirate has assured its neighbors and the world that Afghanistan will not pose a threat to any nation, and that it has upheld this commitment over the past three years.
In his concluding remarks, the Deputy PM emphasized that Afghanistan has recently emerged from years of conflict and is working to restore its national economy and expand regional cooperation.
