During his visit to Uzbekistan and a series of meetings with high-ranking officials, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salaam Hanafi visited Bukhara Province.
Upon arriving in Bukhara province, he was welcomed by the provincial governor and several state officials and then held a meeting with Botir Zaripov, the provincial governor.
Expressing his welcome to Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salaam Hanafi and his accompanying delegation, Botir Zaripov, the governor of Bukhara stated that Uzbekistan and Afghanistan share common cultural and historical ties and by leveraging these shared connections, the two countries can strengthen and consolidate bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salaam Hanafi, expressing thanks for the Uzbek officials’ hospitality stated that Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, with their long-standing and incomparable historical relations, also hold an admirable standing in the fields of culture and Islamic civilization. By properly utilizing these strengths, bilateral relations can be further developed.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation also toured the Islamic and historical sites of Bukhara province.
