On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the Journalism Faculty students of Kardan University, aiming to enhance their educational experience visited the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC).
At the outset, Deputy Director of GMIC Mr. Hashmatullah Naseri, alongside warmly welcomed the professors and students, provided detailed information about the visit’s agenda and through a prepared presentation shared comprehensive information about the history, goals and activities of GMIC.
Furthermore, the Director of GMIC, Mawlawi Naeemulhaq Haqqani Herati, also welcomed the professors and students and emphasized the significance of journalism, describing that it is not only a profession but also a powerful tool for public awareness.
Addressing the students, the Director stated that you have studied the theoretical aspects of journalism at university and you have enough knowledge in this field. Therefore, GMIC strives to create opportunities for practical education in journalism. He further noted that journalists play a key role in conveying community problems to the authorities, prompting actions by authorities that help build trust between the people and the system.
Similarly, Mr. Mohammad Asif Ahmad Zoy, Head of the Media Relations Department of GMIC, provided practical guidance on conducting press conferences, covering press events and conducting interviews in GMIC. He also demonstrated the process of recording clips and videos by journalists at GMIC.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Journalism Faculty students of Kardan University expressed their gratitude for the opportunity, acknowledging that such visits significantly contribute to the development of their practical experience.
