At a press conference held at the Government Media and Information Center, officials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MoLSA) presented their annual performance report.
According to the ministry, through the organization of a National Labor Conference and the signing of 15 MoUs with various entities, the ministry is focused on facilitating direct and indirect employment opportunities for 1.5 million individuals.
Over the past year, the ministry has provided technical and vocational training to 74,738 individuals, tailored to the needs of the job market.
Moreover, officials reported that 118,755 domestic workers and 3,381 foreign nationals were issued work permits. In addition, 15 technical and vocational training institutions received operating licenses, while the licenses of four other institutions were renewed.

As part of its commitment to facilitating overseas employment, the ministry has engaged in extensive coordination with Qatar, the Russian Federation, and the United Arab Emirates to enable the deployment of skilled and semi-skilled workers. Drafts of nine MoUs, prepared in both local languages and English, are in the final stages.
Furthermore, through various inter-agency agreements, a total of 802,252 vulnerable and low-income families were supported over the past year.
