Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) said: A five-year strategic plan has been developed to ensure reliable and sustainable electricity.
According to officials: Last year, the 100-volt power line of Kajaki-Kandahar, which is 170 kilometers long, was repaired at the cost of 3.5 million US dollars, and in addition, the power transmission capacity was increased from 30 to 85 megawatts.
Officials said: Ghazni-Kandahar 220 KV power transmission project and 120 poles construction contract was signed with a private company.
Speaking at a press conference officials stressed that, in order to ensure sustainable electricity for the year 2023, agreements were signed with Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Iran.
