Refugees returned to the country through various routes, and the relevant committees provided them with necessary services. Here are the details of the entry routes and committees:
Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line)
–Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
The committee registered 201 families in Torkham.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
In the Umari camp, 22 tents and 8 toilets were set up. Water was provided in 130 tanks through 8 tankers.
50 families have settled in the camp, and the remaining families have been sent to their own areas.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
The service committee distributed meals and water to 6,000 refugees in the Umari camp.
Various charities delivered 350 blankets, 250 packs of mineral water, 300 blankets, shoes, and coats, 250 packs of food items, and 135,000 liters of water to the refugees.
The service committee officials distributed 491 free SIM cards to the returned refugees.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
The committee held meetings with the returnees in different parts of the Umari camp and at the fictitious line to provide information and raise awareness about the necessary steps to be taken.
They emphasized not to take advantage of the refugee status for personal privileges. Legal action will be taken against those who are caught.
Immigration documents were distributed to the refugees in coordination with the EOM office.
Employment Committee for Immigrants:
The committee registered a total of 276 people in Torkham, including 11 bachelor’s degree holders, 3 post-baccalaureate degree holders, 2 memorizers, 134 workers, and 126 professionals.
Spin Boldak (Durand Fictitious Line)
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
The committee registered 192 families with a total of 994 members in Spin Boldak.
Among them, 122 families with 601 associates were introduced to IOM and WFB, and 70 families with 393 people were introduced to UNHCR.
Additionally, 36 prisoners and 7 unaccompanied minors were registered.
Transport and Transfer Committee:
126 families with a total of 840 members were transferred from Spin Boldak district and Kandahar to Kabul and Kandahar provinces. Each family received 144,000 Afghani rent.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
The committee provided food to 4,600 refugees and delivered 90,000 liters of water in Umari and Sherandam camps.
Health teams treated 279 patients, administered various vaccines to 1,923 refugees, conducted screenings for 887 people, and took 6 malaria and corona samples.
Paktia (Durand Fictitious Line)
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
4 families returned to the country through Dand Patan District, Paktia Province, and were recorded and registered.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
4 families were accommodated in the camp by the Temporary Settlement Committee in Paktia. They were provided with food, drink, and other services by the Services and Health Affairs Committee.
Paktika (Durand Fictitious Line)
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
Today, 3 families with a total of 15 members were recorded and registered in Angor Ada on the Durand Line.
Transport and Transfer Committee:
Three families were transferred from Angur Ada to the refugee camp and then to their respective districts and villages.
Finance Management Committee:
The committee provided financial assistance to 3 families in Angor Ada, giving each family 10,000 Afghanis.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
The service committee treated 63 refugees in Angor Ada, administered vaccines to 6 people, provided food to 100 people, and arranged accommodations and necessary items.
Additionally, 6 SIM cards were distributed by officials of communication and information technology.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
The committee provided information to the returning refugees about their children’s future and the education system.
Nimroz
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
6 families with a total of 31 members returned to the country through the silk route and were registered and biometriced.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
6 families with 31 members were settled in a temporary camp for refugees.
Finance Committee:
The committee provided 10,000 Afghanis to 6 families in Nimroz.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Necessary services were provided, and food was given to 3 families with 10 members.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Services related to health and public awareness were provided to the returning citizens.
Herat
Registration, Confirmation and Reception Committee:
14 families with 25 members were registered today in Islam Kala port, Herat.
Finance Committee:
10,000 Afghanis were given to 2 families by the Financial Affairs Organizing Committee in Herat.
Kabul
Transport and Transfer Committee:
26 families with a total of 138 members were transferred to Kunduz and Balkh provinces by the Transport and Transfer Committee in Kabul and 187,000 Afghanis were paid as rent.
