On Saturday refugees returned to the country through various routes, and comprehensive services were provided to them in different areas. The detailed daily report of committee activities is as follows:
Nanagarhar
Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line):
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
80 families comprising a total of 192 members were registered and underwent biometric procedures at Torkham.
Finance Management Committee:
Financial assistance amounting to a total of 750,000 Afghanis was provided to 75 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.
Transport and Transfer Committee:
A total of 68 families, consisting of 425 members, were safely transported from Torkham to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
60 families were accommodated in short-term settlement camps at Torkham.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services were offered to the returning refugees at the Torkham camp, including:
– Food: Distribution of 3,500 meals and 135,000 liters of water in the Torkham camps.
– Food items and clothes: Distribution of 270 blankets, 70 wooden floors, 70 packages of raw food items, and 450 packages of mineral water to the returning refugees in Torkham.
– Communications: Distribution of 234 SIM cards with activated free minutes and internet packages to the returning migrants.
Job Seeking Committee:
In Torkham, the committee registered 4 individuals with bachelor’s degrees, 1 individual with a post-baccalaureate degree, 94 impoverished workers, and 77 professionals and skilled workers. The committee also conducted public awareness programs on explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and Afghanistan for 158 children in Torkham, providing them with games and entertainment activities for their mental well-being.
Kandahar
Spin Boldc (Durand Fictitious Line):
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
A total of 94 families, comprising 530 members, returned to the country and were registered through Spin Boldak.
Finance Management Committee:
The Financial Affairs Committee provided assistance to 94 families, totaling 940,000 Afghanis.
Transport and Treanfer Committee:
From Spin Boldak, 20 families with 120 members were safely transported to various provinces including Kandahar, Herat, Ghazni, and Kabul.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
Today, 66 families were accommodated in short-term settlement camps in Spin Boldak.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including health services, were provided to the returning refugees in Spin Boldak, including:
– Food: Distribution of food and clean water to 1,550 individuals in Spin Boldak.
– Health: Treatment provided to 215 returnees in Spin Boldak.
– Clothing: Distribution of tents, blankets, and clothing to refugees in the short-term camps.
– Communications: The Telecommunication Services Agency distributed 150 SIM cards to returning refugees in Spin Boldak, free of charge, along with free minutes and internet packages.
Job Seeking Committee:
Today, the employment committee registered a total of 156 individuals in Spin Boldak, including 4 bachelor’s degree holders, 8 memorists, 2 religious scholars, 104 impoverished workers, and 38 professionals.
The committee also conducted public awareness programs on explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and Afghanistan for 74 children in Spin Boldak. Games and entertainment activities were provided to these children to support their mental well-being.
Zabul
Schmalzo Line (Durand Fictitious Line):
Temporary Settlement Committee:
A single family was accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Shamalzo.
Paktia
Temporary Settlement Committee:
Six families were placed in a short-term settlement camp at Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq camp in Paktia.
Paktika
Angor Ada (Durand Fictitious Line):
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including health services, were provided to the returning refugees at the Angur base today, including:
– Food: Distribution of 46 meals and water to the refugees at the Angoor base.
– Health: Treatment provided to 26 returning refugees at the Angur base.
Nimroz
Silk Road:
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
Five families with a total of 16 members returned to the country and registered through the Silk Road in Nimruz province. Additionally, 1,168 passengers have also returned to the country.
Finance Management Committee:
A cash donation of 10,000 Afghanis was provided to a family in Nimroz province.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
Six families with a total of 16 members were placed in a short-term settlement camp in Nimruz. Arrangements were made for their accommodation, clothing, and food, and the IOM organization provided both cash and non-cash assistance.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including health services, were provided to the refugees who returned through the Nimruz Silk Road, including:
– Communications: Officials from the Communications and Information Technology department distributed five-digit SIM cards to the refugees, free of charge, with free minutes and internet packages.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Public awareness was provided to 16 refugees on the Silk Road in Nimruz Province. They received useful information regarding their registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, and understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.
Kabul
Transport and Trasnfer Committee:
Today, 27 families with 112 members have been safely transported from Kabul to Kunduz, Balkh and Khost provinces, and the total cost of these families’ car rental is 127,750 Afghanis.
