Nangarhar
Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line)
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
A total of 68 families have arrived in the country through Torkham, and the registration and biometric data of 155 members from these families have been recorded.
Finance Management Committee:
The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee has provided financial assistance of 10,000 Afghanis to 40 families, amounting to a total of 400,000 Afghanis.
Transport and Shipping Committee:
28 families comprising 145 individuals have been safely transported from Torkham to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul provinces. These families have also received a rental allowance of 72,500 Afghanis.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees at the Torkham camp. The distribution included 1,900 meals and 85,000 liters of clean water. Additionally, blankets, floors, gas stoves, 50 packages of raw food items, and other miscellaneous items were distributed.
Communications support was also provided, with 175 SIM cards given to the returnees free of charge, along with free minutes and internet packages.
Mosques and Education Organizing Committee:
The organizing committee for mosques and education, in collaboration with the officials from the auxiliary and information department of the Nangarhar province education department, registered 10 students for further education. The committee aims to provide similar facilities during the enrollment process in educational institutions.
For returning refugees who arrive through Torkham and have children with incomplete education, the committee officially refers them to their respective provinces to complete their education after completing the initial stages.
Recruitment Committee:
The Employment Committee registered 1 holder of a bachelor’s degree, 2 holders of a master’s degree, 48 impoverished workers, and 63 skilled professionals in Torkham, totaling 114 individuals.
The committee also conducted public awareness sessions on topics such as explosives, hygiene, child protection, and Afghanistan for 54 children in Torkham. Furthermore, recreational activities and programs were organized to support the mental well-being of these children.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Public awareness sessions were conducted for the refugees in Torkham. They were provided with useful information regarding registration procedures, transportation, financial aid, temporary settlement, understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.
Furthermore, the ombudsmen from the Amr Ba-al-Moruf and Nahi-in-ul-Munkar Department of Nangarhar province delivered awareness sessions in different areas for the refugees.
The committee, in coordination with the IOM office, also distributed 30 immigration forms to the refugees.
Kandahar
Spin Boldak (Durand Fictitious Line)
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
A total of 40 families comprising 230 members returned to the country and were officially registered through Spin Boldak.
Finance Management Committee:
The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee provided financial assistance of 10,000 Afghanis to 40 families, amounting to a total of 400,000 Afghanis.
Transport and Shipping Committee:
A single family consisting of 5 individuals from Spin Boldak was safely transported to Kandahar, and they received a rental allowance of 1,500 Afghanis.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
In Spin Boldak, various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees. This included the distribution of 676 meals and clean water in Spin Boldak.
Telecommunication Services Agency distributed 196 SIM cards with free minutes and internet packages to the returning migrants at no cost.
Recruitment Committee:
The employment committee in Spin Boldak registered 1 individual with a bachelor’s degree, 4 skilled memorists, 7 religious scholars, 120 impoverished workers, and 24 skilled professionals, totaling 156 individuals.
Paktika
Angor Ada (Durand Hypothetical Line)
Accreditation, Registration, and Reception Committee:
2 families returned to the country and were registered through the Anangur base in Paktika province.
Finance Management Committee:
During their journey to the Angur base in Paktika province, 2 families were provided with cash assistance of 10,000 Afghanis each, totaling 20,000 Afghanis.
Transport and Shipping Committee:
2 families from Spin Boldak were safely transported to their respective areas and villages.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees in Angur Adha and Sharna. This included the distribution of 46 meals and clean water to the refugees in Angor Ada and Sharna.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
The refugees on their way to the Angor Ada received public awareness sessions. They were provided with useful information regarding registration procedures, transportation, financial assistance, temporary settlement, understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.
Nimroz
Silk Road
Accreditation, Registration, and Reception Committee:
A total of 29 families comprising 99 members returned to the country and were officially registered. Through the Silk Road in Nimroz province, 1,432 passengers have returned to the country.
Finance Management Committee:
Cash assistance of 10000 Afghanis was provided to 5 families in the Silk Road of Nimroz Province, totaling 50,000 Afghanis.
Committee on Services and Health Affairs:
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the refugees who returned via the Nimroz Silk Road. Communication support included the distribution of 29 SIM cards to the refugees by officials in the communication and information technology sector.
These SIM cards came with free minutes and internet packages.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Public awareness sessions were conducted for 99 refugees on the Silk Road in Nimroz Province.
The refugees were provided with valuable information regarding registration procedures, transportation, financial assistance, temporary settlement, understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.
