In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most compassionate,
Esteemed Muslim nation of Afghanistan and all Muslim brothers of the world!
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you!
It was a customary practice of the Messenger of Allah to provide guidance and encouragement to the Companions and other Muslims before the onset of the month of Ramadan.
In the spirit of this practice, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Muslims worldwide, particularly the Muslim people of Afghanistan, on the occasion of the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan.
This sacred month is a time for repentance and devoted worship, during which all righteous actions are rewarded manifold compared to other periods. May Allah bestow His blessings upon you and all of us throughout this auspicious month, enable us to engage in sincere repentance, seek forgiveness, practice remembrance, adhere to obedience, and do worship and may Allah grant us the strength and well-being to fulfill the duties of fasting with excellence and perseverance. Amen,
In the sacred month of Ramadan, the Holy Quran was revealed. This month presents a significant opportunity for self-purification, turning towards Allah Almighty, fostering sympathy and unity among Muslims, and promoting peace and compassion for the vulnerable and the impoverished.
I hope that, reflecting upon the value of Ramadan, all Muslims will benefit themselves of these spiritual moments, seeking reward and forgiveness.
I earnestly call upon the scholars, preachers, and Imams of the mosques to organize religious education, da’wah, and translation or interpretation sessions of the noble Quran during the month of Ramadan along with Taraweeh prayers so that ordinary Muslims are enlightened about the meaning and purpose of the Divine word. I also encourage Muslim brothers to actively engage in lessons on the translation and interpretation of the Holy Quran.
Ramadan Mubarak conveys a message of compassion and peace, and it makes people to cultivate awareness of one’s hunger. I hope that all citizens, irrespective of their roles as government officials, ordinary individuals, or investors, will extend their assistance to the less fortunate and impoverished Muslims. It is crucial to extend our support, particularly to citizens affected by earthquakes and other natural disasters, returned refugees, families of martyrs, as well as widows and orphans.
It often happens that with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, the prices of food and essential items in the markets are suddenly increased by some opportunistic people. I urge them to mitigate the price hikes to help impoverished citizens. I implore all responsible authorities to exercise strict supervision and implement necessary measures to curb price escalations, ensuring affordability and accessibility of essential goods for the benefit of the entire community.
This year, the month of Ramadan arrives at a time when the Zionist aggressors are inflicting oppression upon helpless Muslims in Palestine, an inseparable part of the Islamic world, particularly in Gaza, and the world is witnessing it with open eyes.
Once again, we call upon global community, particularly on international organizations and Islamic countries, to fulfill their shared responsibility in putting an end to the ongoing cruelty and brutality against the oppressed Muslims in Gaza. The situation unfolding in Gaza represents a dark stain on the history of humanity, and nations either contributing to this cruelty or failing to make genuine efforts to prevent it are deemed complicit as criminal partners of the Zionist invaders.
Finally, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, I extend my heartfelt best wishes to the entire Islamic Ummah. May the blessings of this sacred month foster complete unity and empathy among Muslims. I pray that Allah, in His infinite mercy, protects and aids the helpless and oppressed Muslims.
During these auspicious nights and days, I implore all Muslims to specifically remember the Palestinian Muslims in their prayers and extend support to them in every possible way.
