Foundation Stone Laid for Block B4 of the Peace Residential Project

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, today, Wednesday, Sep 02, 2026, laid the foundation stone for Block B4 of the Peace Residential Project (Fifth Microrayan) in District 9 of Kabul City.


Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund congratulated the people of Afghanistan on the commencement of the Fifth Microrayan Project and said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to completing all projects similar to this one whose implementation had been delayed due to various obstacles created by Kabul’s previous administration.
The Deputy PM highlighted the challenges caused by population growth in Kabul City, including unplanned urban expansion, water shortages, deterioration of urban order, environmental pollution, and inadequate public services. He assured the people that these challenges would gradually be reduced through projects such as Kabul New City and the Fifth Microrayan. He further stated that the Islamic Emirate is striving to increase and implement such infrastructure projects in accordance with standards to ensure a comfortable and well-organized life for the people.
The Deputy PM called on all national and international investors to invest in housing and urban development, infrastructure, and other sectors in Afghanistan, assuring them that the Islamic Emirate would provide all necessary facilities.
At the end, Deputy PM Mullah Baradar Akhund called on all implementing parties involved in the project to complete the work properly while observing the approved standards.
The first phase of the Fifth Microrayan Project has reached 70 percent completion, with six blocks already completed. Today, the foundation stone for Block B4 was laid.
