The Director of the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), Mawlawi Naeem-ul-Haq Haqqani, held a meeting with Hojatullah Mujaddedi, Chairman of Afghanistan Free Journalists Union; Mohammad Hamid Mayar, Director of the Afghan Media Center; and Abdul Qadeem Wyar, Head of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization.

The meeting focused on further strengthening coordination, cooperation and joint efforts, as well as creating better opportunities to improve media and press activities.

The participants discussed ways to further enhance coordination, cooperation and joint efforts between the Government Media and Information Center and organizations supporting journalists.

Mawlawi Naeem-ul-Haq Haqqani highlighted the importance of joint cooperation in improving the process of information dissemination and media activities. He called for greater cooperation from journalists’ support organizations in various areas, particularly in capacity-building programs for spokespersons of government organizations and journalists.

He also stressed the importance of creating opportunities to strengthen coordination between spokespersons of government organizations and journalists, describing continued cooperation in this area as essential.

Representatives of the journalists’ support organizations also shared their views and recommendations. They welcomed the meeting and the efforts of the Government Media and Information Center to strengthen cooperation with media organizations, emphasizing their commitment to comprehensive cooperation in the areas discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants emphasized the continuation of such meetings and consultations to further strengthen coordination and create more opportunities for joint efforts and cooperation among government entities, journalists and media support organizations.
