GMIC Hosts Coordination Meeting with Government Spokespersons

A coordination meeting of the spokespersons and media officials of Emirate government institutions was held at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC).
At the outset, Mr. Hashmatullah Nasiri, Deputy Director of the Government Media and Information Center, welcomed the spokespersons and media officials of government institutions and expressed gratitude for their continued cooperation with the center.
Mr. Nasiri shared detailed information about the goals and objectives of the meeting with the participants. He emphasized the development of effective relations and cooperation between the media and government institutions, aiming to convey accurate and verified information regarding the activities and achievements of government agencies to the public and the international community in a transparent and efficient manner.
He also stressed that spokespersons of government institutions must provide timely and accurate information about their respective organizations' activities, programs, and accomplishments to the media and, through them, to the public.
Furthermore, Mr. Nasiri offered valuable insights and recommendations on the coordination of information, public opinion management, effective dissemination of institutional achievements, and strengthening multi-dimensional collaboration with the media.
Subsequently, Mr. Mohammad Asif Ahmadzoi, Head of Media Relations at the Government Media and Information Center, shared the suggestions made by media representatives during last week’s coordination meeting with domestic, international media, and supporting organizations.
Spokespersons and media officials from government institutions also shared their perspectives and suggestions, and praised the center’s ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration between government agencies and the media.
They regarded such meetings as highly effective in strengthening the flow of information and improving relationships between institutions and the media, and they emphasized the importance of holding such gatherings regularly.
The spokespersons also reiterated their readiness to expand cooperation with the media and shared their views and suggestions for further strengthening the interaction between government institutions and media outlets.
The meeting concluded with a summary delivered by Mr. Abdul Basit Shaheedi, Head of Coordination for government Institutions at the Government Media and Information Center, and ended with a prayer. #
