NExA Presents Annual Performance Report

2025-07-16

Today, on 16 July 2025, officials from the National Examination Authority (NExA), during a press conference at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), presented the NExA’s annual achievements and performance as the first entity of IEA to report the annual achievements.

According to the officials, the NExA made significant progress in the 1404 Kankor exam, ensuring it was conducted transparently, fairly, and according to standard procedures.

They stated that throughout the year, 70 major and minor group examinations were held at both central and provincial levels, with over 210 thousand volunteers participating, and for the first time, the Kankor registration form was made available online. Additionally, 40 thousand new and standardized questions were added to the question bank, and the exam was successfully carried out in 40 districts across the country.

According to the officials, the use of a biometric system helped improve transparency, while a dedicated mechanism was established to address complaints. This also facilitated the result announcement process and access to complaints.

Officials further reported that the NExA’s exam units have been activated in seven zones of the country, including Herat, Kandahar, Balkh, Kunduz, Paktia, Bamyan and Nangarhar provinces. New examination districts were also established in the eastern and western parts of Nuristan province. In addition, this department regularly carried out printing and distributing exam results, admission cards, brochures, magazines, information sheets, and other necessary materials to help raise public awareness.

The officials of NExA promised to use modern technology, good management, and available resources to create a new, fair, and standard system for holding exams in the country. This will help to ensure social justice and everyone's rights.
