Director of GMIC Visits Offices of Pajhwok News Agency and Salam Watandar Radio
The Director of the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), Mawlavi Naeemulhaq Haqqani, visited the offices of Pajhwok Afghan News and Salam Watandar Radio on Tuesday (December 2, 2025.
At the outset, Mr. Haqqani highlighted the importance of media in the contemporary era, stating that media outlets play a vital role in informing and shaping public opinion through the dissemination of accurate and reliable information.
He added that the media can effectively convey the achievements of the government to the public, enabling citizens to stay informed about the activities and accomplishments of the administration in various sectors, thereby strengthening public trust in the system.
According to the GMIC Director, the Media Center has consistently worked to strengthen media activities in the country, enhance cooperation between government entities and the media outlets, and address journalists’ challenges in accessing information in a timely manner.
Subsequently, the Head of Pajhwok News Agency, Mr. Abdul Qadir Munsif, and the Deputy Head of Salam Watandar Radio, Mr. Noor Mohammad Hashimi, welcomed the GMIC Director and expressed appreciation for his visit. They commended the Center’s efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and resolve challenges faced by media institutions, emphasizing the need for such engagements to continue.
They also pointed out certain existing challenges regarding access to information and requested the support and cooperation of GMIC leadership in addressing these issues.
In conclusion, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening mutual cooperation and coordination in the relevant areas.
