Core Mandate

GMIC operates within a structured framework, encompassing the following core responsibilities:

1. Management and Strategic Planning

The leadership of GMIC is entrusted with overseeing and managing its operations while fostering enhanced collaboration between government institutions and the media. Key objectives include fostering collaboration between government institutions and the media, facilitating journalists' access to accurate and timely information, effectively showcasing governmental achievements, advocating for national values and government policies, countering negative propaganda, enhancing the capacity of government spokespersons and press officers, and disseminating official directives, messages, decrees, and statements issued by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

2. Coordination with Government Institutions

The Department of Coordination with Government Institutions is responsible for facilitating seamless engagement between GMIC and various government entities. Its duties include coordinating for press briefings and high-level meetings, assessing the performance of government spokesperson offices, generating analytical reports, and enhancing the efficiency of government media and communications operations.

3. Media Relations

The Department of Media Relations serves as the primary liaison between the government and media organizations. It is tasked with organizing press conferences, media briefings, exclusive interviews, and other media-related engagements, ensuring the effective communication of government initiatives and policies to the public.

4. Media Production

The Department of Media Production and Studio is dedicated to the creation of high-quality audiovisual content, including radio and television programs, press conference recordings, documentary films, and visual reports. This division plays a pivotal role in ensuring that journalists and media entities have timely access to essential government information.

5. Administrative Affairs

The Administrative Affairs section provides the necessary logistical support, and operational oversight to ensure the smooth execution of the Center’s mandate. Its primary focus is to enhance organizational efficiency and facilitate the uninterrupted functioning of the Center’s activities.
