Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, held a meeting with representatives of Afghanistan’s Sikh and Hindu Council at the Palace.

At the outset, Samiullah Mehrabi, legal advisor to the Sikh and Hindu Council, extended his appreciation to the leadership of the Islamic Emirate for its proactive measures in addressing the challenges faced by the Sikh and Hindu communities. He particularly acknowledged the efforts undertaken to reclaim their confiscated properties and expressed gratitude for the special attention given to this matter by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate.

During the discussion, council representatives put forth key proposals concerning legal representation in property restitution cases, the restoration and maintenance of religious sites, the completion of unfinished infrastructure projects, and the resolution of electricity-related issues. They urged the government to consider these matters with due attention.

On behalf of the Sikh and Hindu community, Manjit Singh Lamba also raised concerns regarding a commercial market in District 1 of Jalalabad city. He submitted a written petition to the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, seeking a resolution to this matter.

Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi welcomed the council members and reaffirmed that Afghanistan is the common homeland of all its citizens. He emphasized the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to addressing the concerns of all Afghans and assured the council that their proposals would be thoroughly reviewed and communicated to the relevant authorities for appropriate action. #
