1405 Kankor Examination Results Announced; 74500 Students Admitted to Higher Education Institutions
Today, Monday, July 6, 2026, at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), the General Authority for Examination announced the results of the 1405 general Kankor examination, as well as the examinations for religious schools, evening faculties, 14th-grade graduates, graduates from abroad and graduates from tribal communities.
The General Authority for Examination stated that the 1405 Kankor examination was successfully conducted in four phases, with nearly 120000 applicants participating. According to the admission plan of the Ministry of Higher Education, 74500 candidates have been selected for admission to Emirati and private universities and higher education institutions across the country.
The Authority stated that the Kankor examination was organized in a manner that ensured all eligible applicants across the country had an equal opportunity to participate. Accordingly, phase one was conducted for applicants from 15 provinces, phase two for applicants from 18 provinces, phase three for 12th-grade graduates from Kabul province and phase four for applicants who had missed the earlier phases, graduates from abroad, graduates from tribal communities, graduates of religious schools in Kabul and 14th-grade graduates.
According to officials, all four phases of the Kankor examination were conducted in an organized, transparent and efficient manner, without any major problems. The entire process adhered to the required standards, ensuring fairness, transparency and reliability, which helped strengthen applicants' confidence in the examination system.
The General Authority for Examination stated that the 1405 general Kankor examination, one of the country's most important entrance examinations, was successfully conducted based on the principles of transparency, fair evaluation and effective management. With the announcement of the results, tens of thousands of young people have gained the opportunity to pursue higher education in various academic fields at higher education institutions across the country.
