GAE: 1405 Kankor Examination Results Announced, More Than 49000 Students Admitted to Higher and Semi-Higher Education Institutions
On Sunday, July 12, 2026, an event was held at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), which the top 10 students of the 1405 Kankor examination were honored and presented with gifts in recognition of achieving the highest scores.
During the event, officials stated that encouraging talented students and recognizing outstanding achievers are important steps toward advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, promoting progress and motivating the younger generation.
According to the General Authority for Examinations, the 1405 Kankor examination was conducted across the country in four rounds, with approximately 120000 students participating.
Based on the Authority's information, 48085 students were admitted to higher education institutions, while 1789 students were admitted to semi-higher education institutions.
The Authority added that opportunities were provided for different groups in society to participate. Approximately 200 students from outside the country and about 70 students from various ethnic groups and tribes took the examination, demonstrating the expansion of educational opportunities.
According to the General Authority for Examinations, the 1405 Kankor examination was conducted in Pashto, Dari, Arabic and English. A total of 82 students took the examination in English, reflecting the Authority's efforts to standardize the examination and respond to the needs of participants.
