GMIC’s Director Meets Head of AIJA

On Monday, January 26, 2026, the Director of the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), Mawlawi Naeemulhaq Haqqani Herati met with the Head of the Afghan Independent Journalists Association (AIJA), Mr. Hujatullah Mujadadi.

At the outset, the Director of GMIC welcomed Mr. Mujadadi and underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between government institutions, media outlets and media organizations. Additionally, he spoke comprehensively about improving the management of media activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, raising the professional skills of journalists and respecting media principles.

The Director of GMIC stated that the GMIC will continue constructive cooperation with government institutions, media organizations, and journalists. This cooperation aims to broadly reflect the achievements of the system, increase public awareness and protect national interests.

In response, Mr. Mujadadi, appreciating the GMIC’s efforts and support, assured his full cooperation in the relevant areas.

In conclusion, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding and continuing their joint cooperation.
