Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met before noon today at the ARG with Ms. Shahla Hooper Jamal, Head of Al Madina Development & Supply L.L.C, along with her accompanying delegation.

At the outset, Ms. Shahla Hooper Jamal provided information about her company’s investments in Afghanistan’s private sector. She stated that following this successful experience, they intend to also invest in the digitalization of administrative systems within Islamic Emirate institutions.

She noted that significant positive developments have taken place in Afghanistan since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, adding that her company aims to benefit from the existing security and the favorable investment environment.

Ms. Shahla Hooper Jamal further stated that her company has invested in printing ATM cards and supplying specialized printers for a private bank in Afghanistan. She added that they are ready to invest in the development of driver’s license systems, electronic passport systems, and in providing specialized programs for the National Statistics and Information Authority.

Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi welcomed Ms. Shahla Hooper Jamal and her delegation and praised their investment initiative in Afghanistan.

He stated that the digitalization of systems in economic, administrative, and security sectors is a necessity of the time, and that the Islamic Emirate has recognized this need in accordance with the country’s requirements. He added that simplifying administrative systems to provide greater convenience to the people is a key priority.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office assured the head of the company and her delegation that the Islamic Emirate has provided all necessary facilities for investors and that their proposals will be shared with the relevant institutions.
