Deputy Prime Minister Chairs Meeting Aimed at Strengthening Groundwater Resources and Ensuring the Effective Utilization of the Country’s Water Resources
Under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and in the presence of the Ministers of Finance, Rural Rehabilitation and Development, and Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, as well as the Deputy Ministers of Energy and Water and the Administrative Affairs Office, a meeting was convened this morning to address the strengthening of groundwater resources and the effective utilization of the country’s water resources.
During the meeting, which was convened to prevent water wastage and to ensure its availability for agricultural lands, emphasis was placed on the continuation of the construction of check dams and water reservoirs, as well as on the proper utilization of water for the protection and reinforcement of groundwater resources.
At the conclusion of the meeting, necessary decisions were adopted concerning the construction of agricultural canals, the implementation of drip irrigation systems for agricultural lands, and the proper utilization of water resources.
