Over 28,000 Jeribs of Land Allocated for Returnee Migrants

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has allocated 28,116 jeribs of land across nine provinces to accommodate returning migrants.
Kamal Afghan, the spokesperson for the Ministry, indicated that following the completion of the land survey, settlements will be established on these lands, and the distribution process will begin for newly returned migrants. He also noted that land allocation for migrants in other provinces of the country is ongoing.
The allocated lands for settlement construction in the nine provinces for returning migrants are as follows: 1,138 jeribs in Kabul, 708 jeribs in Panjshir, 187 jeribs in Bamyan, 6,000 jeribs in Kandahar, 5,880 jeribs in Ghazni, 2,000 jeribs in Urozgan, 5,500 jeribs in Farah, 5,003 jeribs in Sheberghan, and 1,700 jeribs in Samangan.
According to the most recent official data, over 200,000 Afghan migrants have returned to the country from neighboring nations and the region in the past year. #
