GMIC Leadership Visits RTA, 1TV & Omid Radio

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, the Director of the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), Mawlawi Naeemulhaq Haqqani Herati, along with his accompanying delegation, visited RTA, 1TV, and Omid Radio separately.
During the visit, the Director of GMIC held detailed discussions with the officials of RTA, 1TV, and Omid Radio regarding further improving the information-sharing process, enhancing access to information, strengthening the broadcasting activities of government institutions, and increasing mutual cooperation between the media and government departments.
Furthermore, the Director of GMIC emphasized that the GMIC has always sought to serve as a communication bridge between government institutions and media outlets to strengthen media activities in the country, expand cooperation and interaction, and promptly address the challenges journalists face in accessing information.
In response, the officials of RTA, 1TV, and Omid Radio welcomed and appreciated the GMIC leadership’s visit, praising it as an important step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing existing challenges, and requested that such visits continue.
The officials emphasized that countering the negative propaganda spread by malicious and foreign media is a shared responsibility of all media. They also mentioned some ongoing challenges in access to information and asked the GMIC leadership to assist in resolving them.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations and engagement.
