Deputy PM Addresses Coordination Meeting on the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Kabul

Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, participated in and delivered a speech at a coordination meeting with Kabul residents on the promotion of virtuous conduct and the prevention of immoral acts. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Vice and Virtue and Complaints Handling.
In his remarks, the Deputy PM emphasized that promoting virtue, preventing vice, and hearing public grievances hold particular importance in an Islamic society and constitute fundamental objectives of the Islamic governance system.
Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, stated that, by the grace of Allah, the phase of struggle against foreign occupation has come to an end, and the current phase is one of governance and safeguarding the Islamic system. He stressed that officials must make every effort to strengthen the system and ensure the rights of all citizens.
Addressing the officials of the concerned ministry, he highlighted the gravity of their responsibilities and urged them to intensify their efforts in promoting virtue and preventing wrongdoing, while treating the public with kindness, respect, and professionalism.
He also referred to the widespread damage caused by decades of war and noted that, following the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, nationwide security has been restored, administrative corruption has been eliminated, and development projects are currently being implemented across the country.
Furthermore, he addressed the issue of the return of migrants from neighboring countries, stating that many had migrated to protect their faith, dignity, and honor. He expressed concern that despite holding legal documentation, many have been forcibly deported. He added that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has established a dedicated commission to manage the return process and has taken necessary measures to ensure that returnees are able to live in their homeland with dignity.
