Panjshir Commissioned with New Drinking Water Projects Benefiting 20 Villages
The Directorate of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (DRRD) in Panjshir province has announced the completion and commissioning of five safe drinking water projects in the province.
Hafiz Muhammad Agha Hakim, Governor of Panjshir, described the commissioning of these projects as a significant achievement, emphasizing that they will meet the safe drinking water needs of thousands of families.
According to DRRD officials, these projects were implemented in collaboration with the Aga Khan Foundation across the districts of Hissa-e Awal, Paryan, and the provincial center (Bazarak), at a total cost of $119,867 USD. With the completion of these projects, thousands of families in 20 villages now have access to safe drinking water.
Local residents have welcomed the projects, highlighting their effectiveness in improving daily life and community well-being.
