A Coordination Meeting was convened between Media Editors-in-Chief and Spokespersons from the Political, Security, Justice, and Judicial sectors

Today, 2 February 2026, a coordination meeting was held at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC) among domestic and international media editors-in-chief, journalists, and spokespersons from the political, security, justice, and judicial sectors. In the meeting the spokespersons of the Supreme Court and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, National Defense, and Justice participated.

At first, the director of GMIC, Mawlawi Naeemulhaq Haqqani Herati extended a warm welcome to the participants and thanked them for their continuous cooperation. He added that we are constantly working on strengthening cooperation and coordination between the media and Emirati entities in the field of media and information, as well as finding solutions to existing challenges.

The director of GMIC stated that for better reflection of the Islamic Emirate’s achievements, strong cooperation between Emirati entities and the media is necessary. He said that we are trying to achieve this goal by organizing joint meetings between spokespersons and media representatives.

Then, media editors-in-chief and journalists spoke in turn, praising the GMIC’s efforts in improving access to information and emphasized the importance of continuing such meetings. Additionally, pointing out some existing challenges in accessing information, they shared their views and suggestions with GMIC’s leadership and the spokespersons.

Similarly, the spokespersons of the political, security, justice, and judicial sectors spoke in turn, assuring their full cooperation in facilitating access to information.

At the conclusion, the deputy of GMIC, Mr. Hashmatullah Naseri summarized the discussions and urged both sides to establish the necessary conditions for better reflection of Emirati entities’ achievements and to improve the level of access to information.
