The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, attended and delivered remarks this morning at a ceremony held to mark the return of the final group of Afghan pilgrims to the country.

During the ceremony, which was also attended by the Minister of Guidance, Hajj and Endowments, Sheikh-ul-Quran wal-Hadith Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Saqib, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs welcomed the pilgrims, congratulated them on the successful completion of their Hajj, and prayed that Allah Almighty would accept the Hajj of all the pilgrims.

He further stated that it was a matter of great satisfaction that, as in previous years, thirty thousand Afghan pilgrims had returned to the country this year after successfully completing the rites of Hajj.

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi also expressed his appreciation to all officials, the Mujahideen, security authorities, the management of Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air, airport authorities, and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their efforts in ensuring the successful completion of this year's Hajj process and for providing services and facilities to the Afghan pilgrims.
