MoD: Over 964,000 Operational Activities Have Been Conducted Nationwide

Today, on 22 July 2025, officials from the Ministry of Defense (MoD), during a press conference at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), presented the MoD’s annual achievements and performances as part of IEA’s entity to report the annual achievements.
During the press conference, the officials of the MoD stated that over the past year, more than 964 thousand operational activities have been conducted across the country. Additionally, during these operations, hundreds of vehicles, light and heavy weapons, explosives, mines, telecommunications devices, binoculars, motorcycles, drugs, alcohol, and ammunition have been seized.
They further stated that Afghanistan shares borders with six countries through 20 provinces and 90 districts, and it is connected to the Durand Line. To defend territorial integrity, a total of 15 border brigades, 93 battalions, and 765 border posts have been deployed along the borders and the Durand Line.
Over the past year, 42 policies and regulations related to various areas have been reviewed to align them with the Ministry’s structure and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s policies. Additionally, more than 10,000 members of the National Islamic Army graduated from the Abdullah Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) Joint Combat Training Command, and more than 23,000 others received necessary training from central and regional educational centers.
According to the officials, over the past year, the General Command of the Air Force and Air Defense executed a total of 6,383 duty and training flights using aircraft and helicopters. A total of 1,244 personnel from the Air Force successfully completed specialized courses. Additionally, seven Mi-17 helicopters and one An-32 aircraft repaired.
Based on the information, over the past year, during the forced expulsion of refugees from Pakistan, 60 vehicles and 200 members of the National Islamic Army were deployed to assist in the facilitation and transfer of refugees. Likewise, 229,680 army uniforms, 1,000 ceremonial uniforms, 7,000 sets of clothing for doctors and patients, and 15,800 winter jumpers have been prepared and distributed. To protect public assets, 41,684 vehicles of various types, 6,480 light and heavy weapons, and 724 telecommunications devices have been repaired in the Ministry’s workshops.
In conclusion, the officials emphasized that this year’s major plans include conducting protection and stability operations, enhancing the capacities of the National Islamic Army, constructing facilities, and preparing plans for future operational activities.
