GMIC Hosts Coordination Meeting with Domestic and International Media Representatives

A coordination meeting of representatives from domestic and international, private and government media outlets, along with media-supporting institutions, was held at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC).
At the outset, Mr. Hashmatullah Nasiri, Deputy Director of GMIC, welcomed the participants and provided comprehensive information regarding the objectives and purpose of the meeting.
Mr. Nasiri stated that the Government Media and Information Center constantly strives to enhance the level of cooperation and coordination between government institutions and the media in the fields of information flow and communication, and to find joint solutions to existing challenges.
Following him, Mr. Mawlawi Naeemul Haq Haqqani, Director of GMIC, expressed appreciation for the ongoing cooperation of media outlets and supporting institutions with the center.
He emphasized that GMIC has always aimed to act as a communication bridge between domestic and international media, supporting institutions, and government institutions, and to strengthen and expand cooperation and interaction among them.
Mr. Haqqani added that the goal of today’s meeting was to increase cooperation between the media and government institutions regarding access to information, as well as to share suggestions and opinions to address some of the challenges in this area.
According to the GMIC Director, the greater the level of mutual cooperation and coordination between the media and government institutions, the more positive and effective the outcomes will be.
Later, representatives from media outlets and supporting institutions also took turns to speak, highlighting the importance and necessity of such meetings for the development of cooperation between the media and the government entities. They praised GMIC's efforts in this regard.
They also addressed existing challenges related to access to information and the financial and economic difficulties facing the media, and shared their suggestions and viewpoints with the GMIC leadership.
At the end, Mr. Haqqani assured full cooperation with media outlets and supporting institutions in relevant areas.
