The High Commission for Addressing Migrant Issues convened its latest session under the chairmanship of Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The meeting was attended by commission members and officials from all relevant committees.

The session commenced with a review of the commission’s key achievements, ongoing initiatives, and strategic objectives. Discussions centered on enhancing support mechanisms for migrants, with a strong emphasis on expediting committee operations to improve service delivery. Particular attention was given to facilitating Afghan migrant entrepreneurs, fostering investment opportunities within Afghanistan, and creating an enabling business environment for their reintegration.

Furthermore, a formal appeal was made to neighboring countries to refrain from the immediate and forced expulsion of Afghan migrants. The commission underscored the importance of ensuring a dignified and coordinated repatriation process through a mutually agreed-upon framework between the respective governments.

The commission also called upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the United Nations, the European Union, and other international bodies to accord special attention to the challenges faced by Afghan migrants. It was stressed that their fundamental rights must not be compromised due to abrupt or unjust decisions by host nations, and that they must be safeguarded from any form of mistreatment or injustice.

Additionally, international organizations were urged to collaborate with host countries to implement a structured and humanitarian repatriation process. The commission further appealed for the continuation and expansion of humanitarian assistance to Afghan migrants to mitigate the hardships they face.

In conclusion, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reaffirmed its commitment to addressing migrant-related challenges through concrete measures and strategic interventions. It pledged to mobilize all available resources to support the well-being of Afghan migrants and to facilitate their dignified reintegration, ensuring that all Afghan citizens can lead stable and secure lives within their homeland. #
